Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder recovery can sometimes feel even worse than actually living with post-traumatic stress. Why? Because while in the grips of post-trauamtic stress symptoms you are emotionally numb, avoiding and dissociated, healing is exactly the opposite: You are learning to feel, facing your fears and developing skills to live in the moment. These activities are all tough stuff. Sometimes you need little reminders of why you’re doing this, how to do it, and the purpose of it all. A little shot of courage doesn’t hurt either.

The mission of this page is to provide inspiration on the go. Don’t have a lot of time to read but need a quick healing pick me up? Feel yourself sliding and need some idea to ground you? No problem. We’ve got you covered.

The links below each contain one short, simple idea for, about and to motivate healing. Gathered from scientists, clinicians, artists, writers, musicians, poets, philosophers and anyone else whose ever said anything positive about how we further develop our self-empowered skills, the items below are designed to offer a portal into a new perception about healing.

PTSD recovery happens in increments, one idea at a time. Choose any one of the links below and take the idea with you for the rest of the day to remind you: you are ready to heal, you are worthy of healing, you have the power to heal, you have the right to a full, healthy, PTSD-free and joyful life.

If you’re feeling the desire for a daily dose of inspirational healing ideas, sign up for our Healing Thought of the Day email by filling out the form in the upper right hand corner of this page.
