Anxiety: One Veteran’s Path to Freedom

Monday, September 3rd, 2012 • PTSD Guest Post: Survivors Speak

My name is Tim Ellis. I grew up in Missouri. I now live in Los Angeles with my wife and 4 year old son. I served in the Marine Corp. I have suffered from anxiety for almost twenty years. I believe a lot of my anxiety came from my service in the Marine Corp. Not knowing what caused my anxiety, I self medicated with Alcohol and Drugs for years. The Alcohol and Drug addiction forced me away from love ones and good jobs. I was basically homeless about 7 years ago.

It was at this time I met another Veteran who told me about his condition (Anxiety Attacks) and how he beat his Anxiety Attacks. I applied his method and I have been symptom free for the last 7 years. It also help me beat my drug and alcohol addiction (I have been clean for 7 years as well). I decided about a year ago to start sharing my story to help other people who suffer from this condition. I have had people follow this plan and they have had great success. It works if you work it! If you have anymore questions don’t hesitate to ask.

Thanks,

Tim
