My Interview with Mark Wills About the ‘Crazy Being Home’ Campaign
Monday, September 12th, 2011 • PTSD Recovery Tips •
When I see or hear people going out of their way to help those of us struggling with trauma and/or PTSD, I like to champion them. There are some really fabulous souls who have no personal connection to PTSD or trauma in their own lives but decide to use their voices to make a difference for those of us who do. Country music star Mark Wills is that kind of guy.
Last week Mark took time out of his busy tour schedule to chat with me about his experience on a recent USO tour for the troops, and what he’s doing now to give back. I was hoping to play the interview on last week’s episode of YOUR LIFE AFTER TRAUMA, but some technical difficulties interfered so I’m sharing it with you here. Whether you’re involved with the military or not, Mark’s compassionate view of PTSD and how he hopes his efforts are providing support and giving back are relevant to all of us in terms of our collective PTSD community, plus how just one person’s creative vision can have an impact.
