tanyamichele-rosenthal-1Ever feel like healing PTSD is a real drag? Well, of course you do! Because it is a real drag more days than not, which is why sometimes you’ve got to deliberately lighten up.

Join me today, Friday, Dec. 18th @ 1pm EST for the Heal My PTSD, LLC, monthly BlogTalk Radio show. This month’s topic: Healing and Creative Play with my guest, trauma therapist Tanya Ruckstuhl-Valenti.

To access the call, click here (and if it doesn’t work the first time, click again — BTR can be fussy).

Tanya and I will be covering such topics as:

  • giving yourself permission to go where you haven’t gone
  • what did I enjoy as a child?
  • what do I envy in others?
  • what would I do with freedom?
  • how to begin discovering healing creative play
  • freedom can be terrifying; how to get comfortable with it

Join us just to listen, or, if you have questions for me or Tanya feel free to call in and join in the discussion at: (347) 637-1847. Press 1 to speak with the host (that’s me!).

A word about Tanya Ruckstuhl-Valenti (LICSW, MSW): Tanya’s work experience as a therapist includes providing outpatient therapy to women experiencing multiple life stressors, working with chemically addicted parents, teaching therapeutic parenting classes, providing child and family therapy, and supervising Master’s level therapists.

Her social work experience includes providing family preservation services to families at risk of losing custody of their children due to abuse/neglect, providing social skills and self care training for developmentally disabled high school students, assessing and making recommendations to the court regarding safety issues of children.

Trust me, you won’t want to miss this converastion — Tanya has a great sense of humor and she is, er, very creative in her perspective on post-trauma healing and resolution. Check out her trauma blog and then tune into the show!

Can’t make the show live? No sweat, listen to it in the archives at your convenience.
